AKA: Lycans, werewolves etc.Stories and legends have almost always made Therians the enemies of vampires, funnily enough there is actually reason for this though they are not actually enemies. In terms of soul qualities, those born as Therian otherkins are the opposite of vampires, in the sense that Therians have a stronger connection to their physical body and the physical realm, whereas a vampire’s connection to the physical is weakened. They cannot shapeshift physically, however, they commonly take on animal forms in the astral realm, which has gained them the reputation of being shape-shifters. Nevertheless, in the physical world they can draw upon the power of a chosen animal to gain its traits and instincts, for example bears for strength, cats for agility and ravens for Magick and insight. The most commonly known Therians are that of the native American Skin-walkers and Nagual though they exist in many other cultures. In terms of physicality, Therians tend to be physically stronger, can gain muscle easily and their bones tend to have higher density. They are extremely instinctual and intuitive. They also have a strong connection to nature and the earth. Totem animals, power animals, familiars and animal spirit guides all came from the practices of Therians.

Vampires: What are they really?
There is much misconception surrounding vampires and what they are, and here I will try to clarify what vampires actually are, as well as what they are not.
Firstly, vampires are highly spiritual beings, they of course look human, however, their souls vibrate on a higher level than that of humans. Although they are not human as such, they are not so far from them either. They have a weaker connection to the physical realm, and are more connected to the spirit realms. Due to this, they metabolize energy much faster than humans, and because of this, they need to drain additional energy from their surroundings, which has gained them the reputation of who they are. Vampires are almost always gifted with the abilities of empathy and extra sensory perception. Some have are further gifted than that as well.
In terms of draining energy, it is commonly and erroneously believed that they solely drain the energy of humans. However, vampires can gain energy from many sources. Firstly they can draw ambient energy that tends to be released into the environment by crowds of people or other living beings, if none uses this energy it will simply eventually dissipate. Second, they can draw elemental energy, such as from the earth, moon, rain, thunderstorms and under particular conditions even the sun. Third and most commonly known, vampires can drain energy from others, usually in the form of vital energy. Lastly, as with every other sentient being, vampires too are provided with cosmic energy.
Love and Loyalty are extremely important to vampires, and as they do not feel the limitations of physical lifetimes, their love is intense and eternal. Vampires are connected to each other through a beacon, emitting waves of energy that attract and draw other vampires. This helps them reunite each lifetime after their physical body has decayed.
Vampires as healers spiritual facilitators
Vampires have this negative stigma that all they do is drain energy from others. This is far from the truth. Vampires are catalysts, they help facilitate others on their spiritual journey. Their mere presence causes those around them to become more spiritually attuned.
Vampires are also naturally capable of manipulating energy, and therefore skills requiring the attunement of energy and life force such as Reiki come easily to them. In fact, many vampires don’t even need to learn the system of Reiki, and would already be capable of doing it as soon as they become aware of it.
Furthermore, vampires, being specialists in the use of energy, are capable of metabolizing ALL forms of energy, including negative or corrupt energy. Hence, a vampire is capable of draining negative/corrupt energy from someone, in order to allow it to be replaced by healthy new energy. The vampire will then metabolize the negative corrupt energy and turn it into a form they can use.
Psychic and Sanguine vampires?
I have seen these terms used around so commonly. Allow me to tell you that there are no such things as “psychic” and “sanguine” vampires, for they are both one and the same. There are only vampires. The difference is merely a preference, the latter being very rare. Vampires can choose to receive energy by manipulating it directly, or they can ingest fresh blood from a donor. Either way they are both after the same thing, energy. You see, when a vampire ingests blood, it is not for its physical properties, but rather for the concentrated amounts of energy in the blood. If the blood is not fresh, then it will contain no energy. Therefore, those who go around saying that they feel the need to ingest blood or eat a big piece of raw steak are purely fakes who have deceived themselves into believing they are vampires, with a notion of a vampire entirely based on fiction and pop culture.
Vampires have damaged souls?
Another common misconception is that vampires are beings with damaged/malfunctioning chakras or souls which causes them to leak energy and therefore require to feed to sustain themselves. This notion is very common amongst Pagan and Wiccan circles and is not true, vampires do not have damaged souls at all. In fact vampire souls are more resistant to damage and decay than human souls and as I’ve mentioned earlier, are more spiritually connected than most humans.
So where did this popular notion of “psychic vampires” come from? Well it is not entirely false, however, they would be more appropriately termed “psychic parasites”. When a being is attacked on a soul level, their chakras can indeed be damaged, and can cause them to drain the energy of others to sustain themselves. This does NOT make them vampires. The damage done to chakras, as any wound, will heal over time, it can also be accelerated by certain practices or healers. Therefore, there are no such beings as “psychic vampires”. The state of having a damaged soul is temporary. If you believe that you have a damaged soul or chakra, then attend to it, meditate regularly to speed up its healing, or go see an energy healer, such as a Reiki practitioner.
However, If you find yourself to have vampiric qualities permanently, then you have probably been misinformed about what a vampire is. Hopefully this article has shown you that vampires are so much more than that, and are far from being “damaged souls”.

Vampire Myths: Is there truth to them?
The modern concept of a vampire is a blood sucking being, with cold pale skin, burn in sunlight, can live forever and often have super human abilities. I’ll start by telling you that although all these are not qualities of true vampires, they is still truth behind them. This page will clarify some of the myths surrounding vampires. Note that this page refers solely to true vampires, who were originally created as vampires. Parasitic vampires (often called “psychic vampires”) are not true vampires- refer to thevampires page.
Draining blood and energy:
Overall, a true vampire is a highly spiritual being with a soul that vibrates on a higher frequency than that of a typical human. Having a soul that vibrates on a higher frequency means that vampires need more energy than a typical person…though the Earth’s natural source is not enough, consequently they have to get extra energy from their surroundings. Hence the first myth about vampires sucking blood. Vampires do drain energy from their surroundings, but this can be anything, from thunderstorms, filtered sunlight, ambient energy, or if they so wish…humans. The reason that nowadays they are said to drink blood is because blood is a symbol of vital energy, hence blood for vampires is merely a representation of energy.
Sunlight:
The second myth about them burning in sunlight is also not true. Vampires are extremely sensitive to energy, and sunlight is a very strong source of energy that is just too much for a vampire. They can stand in it for hours, but it makes them feel drained and tired….Their eyes are also very photosensitive….so strong sunlight will irritate their eyes. However, if the sunlight isn’t so strong such as on a winter morning, they can actually use it to gain energy and would love to bask in it.
Nocturnal Nature:
This is connected to the third myth about them being pale….although this one is actually somewhat true. Vampires tend to avoid sunlight for the reason mentioned above and hence this tends to make them paler. Furthermore, vampires tend to have natural psychic abilities and are very in tune with psychic waves around them, and during the day when everyone is awake, there are psychic waves running rampart which isn’t very comfortable for a sensitive vampire. However, during the night when everyone is asleep, these waves settle….hence vampires tend to prefer the night because of its calmness.
Cold Skin:
The fourth myth about them having cold skin is also semi-true. Vampires are constantly draining energy from their surroundings…especially from their secondary shen centers located on their hands. Heat is a form of energy, and so when vampires suck the heat close to their skin…their skin consequently becomes cold, especially their hands.
Immortality:
The fifth myth about them being able to live forever is again only partially true. True vampires have immortal souls, not immortal bodies. It is said that their soul is partially divine, and is no longer connected to the reincarnation cycle…hence they are not limited by it. Their souls also do not degenerate over time like human souls do, and hence why they are considered immortal. They do still age physically, though at a slower rate and tend to look younger than their years.
Appearance:
Other things associated with them is that they tend to be gaunted with edgy features and/or attractive looking. Vampires, like certain old religions (such as Buddhism), believe that excess fat or muscle makes it more difficult for energy to travel through their body. Hence for vampires who are so reliant on the flow of energy, discourage excessive weight in both fat or muscle. They aim to be lean and athletic but not overly muscular either. As for them being attractive…well for starters you will never see a fat vampire…and second, vampires are manipulators of energy and they are capable of influencing the mind and the senses….making others perceive what the vampire wants…such as being more attractive.
Converting into vampires
We commonly see in literature and film that if a vampire bites you and drains your blood, and often if they then feed you their blood then you become a vampire. This is once again false, though based on truth. If a vampire drains a human excessively, then that human will take on parasitic qualities and being starved for energy, will start draining it from others. They will temporarily display vampiric qualities, but will return to normal in time. Ritualistically, when a vampire wants to establish a bond with their donor, they will drain them to this point that they take on vampiric qualities, and then the human will drain energy back from the vampire, establishing a powerful connection between the two. Hence the myth of draining blood, and then giving them some of the vampire’s blood.

Do you believe in Gods?
Since the beginning of time, humans have conjured thousands of deities to venerate their faiths. All of you reading this would acknowledge some God or Goddess, while not believing in others…or if you’re an atheist, not believe in deities at all.
Well, just because you don’t believe in a certain deity, it does not mean they don’t exist. You see, there is a single “source” an all encompassing deity, which is the whole universe, including us. This source is well pretty generic and perhaps difficult to connect with on a personal level if we can’t attribute any characteristics to it…and so instead we conjure up a deity of someone we can venerate as the perfect deity. It allows us to connect to them better, and in turn connect to the source…
So you see, all Gods and Goddesses can exist, as long as someone believes in them, then they exist. Even science has realised that what we believe has an effect on nature and behaviour of things.
So does that mean we should all be creating our own unique and personal Gods and Goddesses to do our bidding?…well no…you see, Gods and Goddesses who have existed for a long time, over centuries become more “powerful”…they become symbolic and archetypal and having more people believing in them also gives them more power. So it is usually best to stick to an existing deity…just find the one you connect with most. It can even be one of the ancient gods such as that of ancient Egypt or Greece.

For those of you who are True Blood fans, in episode 2 of season 4 titled “you smell like dinner” (Do not read on if you don’t want spoilers)…Marnie casts an encantation which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6uk4CfK6IE
Although she didn’t pronounce it all properly and it was incomplete, I thought some parts sounded familiar…she was actually reciting a conjuration from the Verus Jesuitarum Libellus…which is a book of Christian ceremonial Magick (yes Christians have texts of Magick as well). This text is for the conjuration of evil spirits for the purposes of exorcisms, as well as for the summoning of Angels. The part that she casts comes from this:
Ecce crucem Domini! Fugite partes adversae!
Basically it is a conjuration to banish evil/malevolent spirits. It commands the evil spirit to leave immediately without any noise, terror, tumult or corruption, and without doing any harm to anyone.

Thank you so much to the new followers and your positive response. Please send me any questions or anything you would like info on to be added into this page.
If I have written anything that sounds offensive, please let me know and i will amend it. I honestly am trying to be as neutral as possible.
Also, I have had the pleasure of meeting a Therian, Draconian and a Demonkin…which has allowed me to learn much about them, however, I have not met other type of Otherkin besides these. So if you are one, or know a lot about them, please send me your info through the ask page. Of course I will credit you for it.
Lastly, I am going to add a links page that will provide categorised sources of other tumblr blogs about occult/supernatural/spiritual topics. If you would like your blog added to that list, once again send through my ask page.
Thank you^^

Isaac Bonewits - Real Magic
The Laws of Magic are not legislative laws, but, like those of physics or musical harmony, are actually fairly practical observations that have been accumulated over thousands of years. These laws describe the way magic seems to behave. Most of these laws will make sense to you (I hope), and even the more obscure ones should make some sense to you, but if they don’t, ignore them, or send me some e-mail, and I will try to explain.
The LAW OF KNOWLEDGE: This is probably the most widely used law, and probably encompasses all the others in some way. The basis of this law is that understanding brings control. The more that is known about a subject, the easier it is to excercise control over it. Knowledge is power.
The LAW OF SELF-KNOWLEDGE: An obvious derivative of the LAW OF KNOWLEDGE, this law carries additional connotations, as a mage who does not have knowledge of himself does not have knowledge (and therefore control) of his own magic. This law is one of the reason’s “evil” mages are very rare - a dedication to “evil for evil’s sake” is usually do to a lack of introspection and awareness of oneself. It is difficult to do harm to others when you understand fully what that kind of harm would do to you. Know thyself.
The LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT: A simple scientific understanding - if exactly the same actions are done under exactly the same conditions, they will be associated with exactly the same results. Magicians have at least as much belief in cause and effect as modern physicists do, they just realize that a good ritual, like a good theatrical performance or a good bread recipe, isn’t always predictable. In truth, a spell involves so many variables, that controlling or even understanding them all is impossible. The key to magical success is learning which variables are the most important, and how to keep them constant. Control over the variables is icing on the cake.
The LAW OF SYNCHRONICITY: Two or more events happening at the same time are likely to have more in common than the merely temporal. Very few events ever happen in isolation from other events. There is no such thing as a mere coincidence.
The LAW OF ASSOCIATION: If any two pattern have elements in common, the patterns interact “through” those common elements, and control of one pattern facilitates control of the other(s) depending (among other factors) upon the number of ccommon elements involved. This is a very important law, up there with the LAW OF KNOWLEDGE.
The LAW OF SIMILARITY: Having an accurate physical or mental representation of something facilitates control over it. This one is fairly obvious in it’s usage - having a model, picture, or other representation of your target (like a voodoo doll) gives you power to effect the target. Look alikes are alike.
The LAW OF CONTAGION: Objects or beings in physical contact with each other continue to interact after separation. Everyone you have ever touched has a magical link with you, though it is probably pretty weak unless the contact was intense and/or prolonged or repeated frequently. Magical power is contagious. Naturally, having a part of someone’s body (nails, hair, spit, etc.) gives the best contagion link.
The LAW OF NAMES: Knowing the complete and TRUE name of an object, being, or process gives one complete control over it. This works because a name is a definition (yes, even “Harold”, “Marie”, “Kunte”, and “Jasmine” were at one time) as well as a contagion link, and an association (if you call something the same name over and over, that name becomes associated with the thing). This also works, because knowing the complete and true name of something or someone means that you have achieved a complete understanding of it’s or their nature. This is why, in most pre-industrial cultures, people are given “secret names”, as well as “public names”, and why the sharing of a secret name is such an act of trust - because the secret name is considered to be very close to, if not identical with, the person’s true name.
The LAW OF WORDS OF POWER: There exist certain words that are able to alter the internal and external realities of those uttering them, and the power may rest in the very sounds of the words as much as their meanings. Many of such words are names, though the meanings may have been lost or forgotten. Very many magical tools require words to be inscribed upon them and/or said over them during their construction and/or use.
The LAW OF PERSONIFICATION: Any phenomenon may be considered to be alive and to have a personality - that is, to “be” an entity or being. Anything can be a person. Most weather mages personify the winds and the clouds, for example, and thus find focussing their magic on the atmosphere much easier to do.
The LAW OF INVOCATION: It is possible to establish internal communication with entities from either inside or outside oneself, said entities seeming to be inside of oneself during the communication process.
The LAW OF EVOCATION: It is possible to establish external communication with entities from either inside or outside oneself, said entities seeming to be outside oneself during the communication process.
The LAW OF IDENTIFICATION: It is possible through maximum association between elements of oneself and those of another being to actually become that being, to the point of sharing it’s knowledge and wielding it’s power. This is the law that controls most lengthy or permanent possession phenomena.
The LAW OF PERSONAL UNIVERSES: Every sentient being lives in and quite possibly creates a unique universe which can never be 100% identical to that lived in by another. So called “reality” is in fact a matter of consensus opinions. This law is nowhere near as obvious as the other laws in it’s applications, but if you can figure some out, you can use it.
The LAW OF INFINITE UNIVERSES: The total number of universes into which all possible combinations of existing phenomena could be organized is infinite. Anything is possible, though some things are more probable than others. You might consider this to refer to the “alternate probability worlds” of science fiction, but it also has a much wider application.
The LAW OF PRAGMATISM: If a pattern of belief or behavior enables a being to survive and to accomplish chosen goals, then that belief or behavior is “true” or “real” or “sensible”. If it works, it’s true. Another rather obscure law, but it does have some very useful applications.
The LAW OF TRUE FALSEHOODS: It is possible for a concept or act to violate the truth patterns of a given personal universe and still be “true”, provided that it “works” in a specific situation. If it’s a paradox, it’s still probably true. This law is basically useless, except to justify use of the above three laws without screwing things up in your version of the real world.
The LAW OF SYNTHESIS: The synthesis of two or more “opposing” patterns of data will produce a new pattern that will be truer than either of the first two were. That is, it will be applicable to more levels of reality, and this new pattern may not be a compromise, but may be something rather new indeed.
The LAW OF POLARITY: Any pattern of data can be split into (at least) two “opposing” characteristics, and each will contain the essence of the other within itself.
The LAW OF OPPOSITES: A sub-law of POLARITY. The “opposite” of a pattern contains information about that pattern, by providing information on what the pattern is not. Thus, control over a pattern’s opposite (or close to it’s opposite) facilitates control over the pattern itself. (Note that this one I alone take the blame for, as it is my own extension of POLARITY and SIMILARITY)
The LAW OF DYNAMIC BALANCE: To survive, let alone to become powerful, one must keep every aspect of one’s universe in a state of dynamic balance with every other aspect. Extremism is dangerous, as the extreme being becomes so associated with the extreme aspect, that they lose the ability to avoid that aspect at all. This is another reason “evil” mages are rare, as continuous association with pain or death will cause a mage pain or death, ending the mage’s ability to continue actively with “evil”. This is also why “good” mages, especially healers, tend to live a long time.
The LAW OF PERVERSITY: Sometimes known as Murphy’s Law. If anything can go wrong, it will, and in the most annoying manner possible. Magical associations sometimes operate in the reverse of what was desired, and meaningful coincidences are just as likely to be unpleasant as pleasant. Even if nothing can go wrong, some element of the universe may change so that things will go wrong anyway. Whether we like it or not, the gods (or fates, or what have you) do have a sense of humor. Emotionally healthy mages have less problems with this law than others do, as the mages own subconscious mind is probably a major perpetrator of this law.
The LAW OF UNITY: Every phenomena in existance is linked directly or indirectly to every other one, past, present, or future. Perceived seperations between phenomena are based on incomplete sensing and/or understanding.

Pentacles, despite the sound of the word, often had no connotation of “five” in the old magical texts, but were, rather, magical talismans inscribed with any symbol or character. When they incorporated star-shaped figures, these were more often hexagrams than pentagrams. Pentacles showing a great variety of shapes and images appear in the old magical grimoires, such as the Key of Solomon; as Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa summarises it, their use was to “fore-know all future things, & command whole nature, have power over devils, and Angels, and do miracles.” Agrippa attributes Moses’ feats of magic in part to his knowledge of various pentacles.
Pentacles
A Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy (c. 1565) spuriously attributed to Agrippa gives detailed instructions as to how pentacles should be formulated:
But we now come to speak of the holy and sacred Pentacles and Sigils. Now these pentacles, are as it were certain holy signes preserving us from evil chances and events, and helping and assisting us to binde, exterminate, and drive away evil spirits, and alluring the good spirits, and reconciling them unto us. And these pentacles do consist either of Characters of the good spirits of the superiour order, or of sacred pictures of holy letters or revelations, with apt and fit versicles, which are composed either of Geometrical figures and holy names of God, according to the course and maner of many of them; or they are compounded of all of them, or very many of them mix
